7 Things You Should Do After Sex
Sex is an intrinsic feeling, a flow of deep lustful emotions. It connects the couple to an endnote where they inhabit as one, the only one. Here the purpose of sex sticks to the purpose of life. Engaging in sexual intercourse provides the partners with mental and physical solace. Starting with oral sex, it branches out to vaginal intercourse in different postures and ends up in the pinnacle of satisfaction called orgasm. After that, they relax and usually plunge into a deep sleep.
We all are familiar with these many areas of sex engagement. But there are certain portfolios, after sex, which we ought to know. Let’s understand.
1. A mindful hygiene goes a long way!
Cleaning up: After having heated sexual intercourse, it’s good to have a soft cleaning up. There is no need for a detailed shower, but cleaning the genital area with plain warm water is necessary, otherwise, there are chances of infections, flaring up.
Males with foreskin need to pull back the skin and clean it. Mild soaps, and not hard detergents, can be used.
Most females have a strong notion, that they have to clean the inside part of the vagina thoroughly after sex. But douching will upset the natural balance of bacteria that protect the vagina. The apt way to protect the vagina is just leaving it, as it is. It will clean up by itself. A mild smell is normal, which is not a sign of any infection.
Simple cleaning is enough! Please do not clean the vaginal part with harsh detergents, creams, and sprays, which will wear out your skin. Instead, have a soft rinse with mild warm water, and avoid scented pads, powders, and sprays.
2. Flush those bacteria out!
Keep your bladder empty: During sex, there is a higher chance for the bacteria to enter your urethra, the tube that carries urine. So after the intercourse, after cuddling your partner, head towards the toilet and pee. This will avoid the chance of bacterial infection. Women should wipe from front to back to stop bacterial spreading.
2. Stay Hydrated, Avoid Infections!
Drink water: Before and after sexual intercourse, drink a glass of water each. This is because, during peeing, more water will be flushed out with more harmful bacteria, thereby reducing the chances of infection to a bare minimum.
3. Loose-fitting clothes for comfort!
Wear loose clothes: Since hot, sweaty places are favorable for the bacteria and yeast to thrive, use loose clothes, which allow the air in. Women also should avoid tight pantyhose and panties. Cotton underwear is the best for both men and women because they are breathable and moisture absorbers. Or both can go to bed without using undergarments.
4. Wash your hands before and after Food!, and Definitely After Sex!
Washing hands: It’s an utmost necessity to wash the hands because due to touching the genitals of the partner, there is a high chance of contracting the infection. To stop this, wash your hands with soap and water and make it a routine.
